Section 1: Procedure Essentials

The Pure-Vu® system is indicated to cleanse poorly prepped colons during colonoscopies. This video demonstrates the essential accessories you will need to assemble the Pure-Vu system.

Have these essential items on-hand before beginning the Pure‑Vu® procedure:

  • Virucidal wipes
  • Water-soluble lubricating gel
  • 3,000 cc suction canister and line (2x)
  • 1,000, 2,000, or 3,000 cc sterile water/saline irrigation bag
  • Small container (minimum 400 cc)
  • Enzymatic detergent
  • Unloading kit, including sealing plug, luer locking syringe with check valve

Section 2: Assemble the Oversleeve

Learn how to properly assemble the Pure-Vu® Oversleeve and place it in the Loading Fixture; how to connect the Air-Line; and how to load the colonoscope insertion tube into the Oversleeve in preparation for the colonoscopy procedure.

Have these essential items on-hand for this section of the Pure‑Vu® system assembly:

  • Virucidal wipes
  • Water-soluble lubricating gel

Section 3: Attach the oversleeve
to the workstation

Learn how to attach the Umbilical Section safely and securely to the Oversleeve and Pure-Vu® workstation; how to connect all connectors and tubing to their corresponding sockets and valves. In addition, you will see helpful hints on how to best organize all tubing to ensure it is safely positioned on the workstation.

Have these essential items on-hand before beginning the Pure‑Vu® procedure:

  • 3,000 cc suction canister and line (2 each)
  • 1,000, 2,000, or 3,000 cc sterile water/saline irrigation bag
  • Small container (minimum 400 cc)

Section 4: Disassemble the
Umbilical Section and Oversleeve

Learn how to evacuate the colonoscope upon completion of the colonoscopy procedure and then how to disconnect the Umbilical Section from the Oversleeve and Pure-Vu® workstation.

Have these essential items on-hand for this section of the Pure-Vu® system assembly:

  • Small container (minimum 400 cc)

Section 5: Remove the Oversleeve
from the Colonoscope

Learn how to properly remove the Pure-Vu® Oversleeve from the colonoscope after it has been disconnected from the Umbilical Section.

Have these essential items on-hand for this section of the Pure-Vu® system assembly:

  • Enzymatic detergent
  • Unloading kit, including sealing plug, luer locking syringe with check valve
